SDT was awarded a tender by SEQWater to develop an on-line Trailer Towing E-learning Package. This is now available to the public and to other company fleets.
If you are a member of the public, who is undertaking this on-line course to learn more about the safe operation of trailers, you may elect to complete the theory as a stand-alone package and then practice and gain experience in your own time. Or to gain more hands-on experience you may elect to undertake a ½ day practical trailer towing course with us, to complement this theory course. We offer both accredited and non-accredited certificates of attendance.
If you are completing this course for work-related reasons, then the on-line theory course is your first stage of training. This will typically be followed by your attendance to a 3.5hr practical trailer towing course with us. During the practical component you are able to get clarification, ask questions, practice and rehearse activities such as connecting, disconnecting, reversing trailers, and driving with a trailer. During the practical training session, you will also be assessed for competency against the criteria of the nationally accredited package.
These on-line modules have also been developed as the essential online theory for participants completing the nationally accredited course AURTGA3001 Drive and Manoeuvre Trailers.
E-LEARNING MODULES:
Log-in access is $44 per person. You are then supplied with the course registration details and you can log-in and out as often as needed to complete the 12 modules. Each module has videos, training information and a questionnaire to assess competency.
